Who we are
Desklate is run by its operator. For anything about your data, write to the contact address that will be published here before payments start.
Your show files
The show files you upload are processed in the server's memory to build the preview and the converted download, and are discarded as soon as the response is sent. They are not written to disk, not kept, not shared with anyone and not used to train any model. Error logs record only the type of an error and where in our code it happened, never the contents of your file.
If you send us a show file yourself, for example because a conversion failed, we keep it only to fix the problem and delete it when you ask.
Technical data
- Our web server keeps an access log of each request: IP address, time, page or address requested, response code and browser type. It is used to keep the service running and secure, and is deleted after 14 days.
- To stop automated misuse, the converter counts requests per IP address in memory for ten minutes. This count is not stored.
- The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which protects it from attacks and may set a strictly necessary security cookie. It runs on a server rented from Hetzner Online in Germany.
Desklate sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
Payments
When paid conversions start, payments will be handled by a reseller (Merchant of Record) that sells the conversion on our behalf and processes your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy. We will receive only what we need to deliver and support your order, such as the order number, e-mail address, country and amount, never your card details. This page will name the reseller before payments start.
Legal basis and your rights
We process the data above to provide the service you request and, for logs, because of our legitimate interest in keeping it secure. Under the GDPR and Turkey's KVKK you can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its use, by writing to the contact address that will be published here before payments start. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
